 | Using our music in a film, television, radio or non broadcast production requires a licence.
The process is designed to be convenient and quick.
Reporting to the publishing company
- Reporting of the music used has to be done after every usage and prior to exploitation of the production.
- Music details required for licensing the music: Name of Production, Type of Production, Title, Composer, Catalogue Code and track durations for each track used in the production. This will ensure that each composer receives their correct royalty from the licence.
- The Producer / Production Company / User of the music is responsible for filling in the music reports correctly.
Validity of the license
- Your license is limited to usage stated in your music report.
- Your license has no time limit except when used in advertising productions, Internet productions and Telephone Switchboards (where time limit is one (1) year).
- Your license is limited to the territory and number of copies stated in your music report.
- Clearance of music is only considered licensed once the invoice has been paid in full.
Producers / Production Company’s legal responsibility
Failure to report copyrighted works implies liability according to existing laws. Signatory or its employer is responsible for giving correct information.
Credits
According to the Copyright Law, the producers has to provide information regarding Title, Composer, Library and publisher-information (production credits). Exempel: "Love" (Eve Adamson) KPM Music / EMI Music Publishing Scandinavia
Reporting to the customer / broadcasting company / TEOSTO
As a producer you are responsible for supplying the customer with a copy of the cue sheet.
EMI Production Music is not copyright free, so when the production is broadcasted in public, you have to report the music usage to your performance society. These are: STIM in Sverige, TONO in Norge, KODA in Danmark, TEOSTO in Finland, STEF på Island, EAÜ in Estland, AKKA-LAA in Lettland and LATGA-A in Litauen.
Terms of use
- Outside of Sweden no VAT is charged. Inside Sweden VAT is charged at 6% for music licenses.
- Interest rate on overdue payment is 1,5% per month.
- We always invoice in Swedish Crowns. The Swedish currency exchange rate on the date of invoice will be used.
- In case music reports are not delivered or being delayed, an additional fee of 100% will be invoiced on top of the applicable tariffs.
