KPM

KPM has been the world's premier source of production music for over 30 years. Its comprehensive catalogue ranges from large-scale orchestral recordings to underground dance and hip hop. By commissioning gifted composers to write highly original and distinctive music KPM has become pre-eminent in providing the film and television industries with high quality music of all genres. In addition KPM have been at the forefront of creating digital music solutions for the library industry and initiated the development of the PLAY online music system where it is available for search, audition and download in its entirety.

KPM has been divided into Main Series, 1000 Series, Classical Series, World Music Series.

The Main Series (over 600 CDs) is the heart of catalogue with over 50 new CDs being added every year. Apart from music for sports, drama, documentary, lifestyle reality and entertainment, it includes KPM's unique collection of well known TV themes.

1000 Series (over 100 LPs)
These magnificent recordings, made in the 70's and previously only available on vinyl as KPM 'greensleeves', have been re-mastered at Abbey Road Studios and are available online. These evocative tracks are in high demand by DJs the world over and have been sampled by high profile US acts.

KPM Classical Series (30 CDs)
This unique collection of popular classical pieces has been carefully compiled specifically for our clients in the Film and TV industry. The CDs are presented generically to allow rapid selection by particular style or mood. The series is accompanied by a comprehensive catalogue which cross-indexes titles with composers, featured instruments and nationalities.

KPM World Music Series (over 15 CDs)
The KPM WM Series, launched in 2004, features traditional, documentary and remix versions of music from for example Persia, Iran, Sudan and Yemen. The series will circumnavigate the globe and is currently visiting India and the Far East.

Nurtured over the last ten years, the series concentrates on top artists rooted in dynamic acoustic traditions. The albums, many recorded "in the field", have depth of culture and talent, portraying traditional feel and ambience.
The series will provide traditional recordings, remixes for documentary applications, and remixes by commercial artists, reflecting current music trends, for travel programmes.
