I made changes to the video and/or voiceover in my production. Do I need to re-license the music (for needledrop clients)?
Yes. Any revisions of the production or release in a new format requires an additional license.

How do I find the right piece of music?
Playemipm.com is our on-line, audio search tool available on the net. You can perform a search on our libraries utilizing:

Category Search that offers broad categories – Jazz, Dance Music, Film Styles etc. These are then sub-categorised if you require a more accurate fit.
Keyword Suggestor allows you to enter a descriptive word – for instance Happy, Prestige, French - you will then be offered a choice of relevant categories.
Browse displays a list of the CDs in every library. You can then select a CD for display, particularly useful for those of us who liked going through those CD shelves.

Every track can be auditioned using RealPlayer and if you have logged onto the site they can be saved to a Project. As a registered user, you can Download the track in MP3 (320 kbit/s), WAV and AIFF formats.
We also have an experienced staff available to assist you with music search and selection.

What if you don't have the exact piece of music that I need?

We represent several libraries in different genres. If you still don’t find the music you need in our production music libraries we can offer custom composed music and also traditional, commercially released music (the music recorded by commercial artists that you hear on radio etc). For custom composed music we have a staff of Hollywood-class composers, so we can help you find the right match for your project at competitive rates.

I really like a piece of music, but it's too short and I need an alternate mix. What can I do?
Most of the tracks in our library have alternate mixes of various lengths. If you can't find the exact mix or length of any particular cue, we can create custom lengths and mixes for your individual project. This may require an additional fee. Please call us for a specific estimate of the costs involved.

I found a track that I want to use in our commercial, how do I know that none of our competitors has used it?

Since we offer a broad range of music the chances are minimal that a competitor would have used the song. But to be on the safe side we will happily look up that there aren’t any requests for the track you are going to use, although there is no guarantee that the track want be used. Please contact us for more information.

What is the difference between commercially released music and production music?
The difference between commercially released music and production music are several. Production music and its rights are cleared in one step, both master and synchronization.
If you would like to use commercially released music in your production you would need to negotiate fees both with the copyright owner and with the record company.

If you are interested in commercially used music, please contact our Vice President Sales, Scandinavia - Andreas Olsson at ao10@emisound.com
